Thank you to Mrs. Nessman and Rylie for helping us to have a traditional cooking day.  As part of our novel study, we baked whole wheat bread, made butter and ice cream.   Thank you for making our day such a success and enabling us all to enjoy some treats similar to those our story's characters ate. I had a fantastic day with the students and would like to thank them for their willingness to focus and participate in all class activities.

Winter Weather
 It's that time of year again...snow!  If your child likes to play outdoors, please remind them to come prepared (snow pants, toque, mitts/gloves).  All students should have in-door shoes that can be left at school.  We ask that boots be placed on the rack to dry, but also for safety.  Thanks for your support.

Today Mrs. Nessman joined our class for the first part of the morning.  Mrs. Nessman led small groups in learning how to play Baker's Dozen, an addition math game that was donated by Cali and her family.  We appreciate Mrs. Nessman's time.  Thank you to Cali and the entire Nessman family for adding a great game to our Math program.  We appreciate your generosity.

Our class would like to wish a very Happy Belated Birthday to Jaime, who turned 9 on November 2nd.  We hope that you had a spectacular celebration, Jaime.  Best wishes for your year ahead!

Remembrance Day Assembly
We encourage any student wishing to wear a service uniform to our Friday morning's Remembrance Day Assembly (Beavers, Scouts, Brownies, Girl Guides, Cadets, etc.)

Skating
We will be skating 3 times this year with our class: Tuesday, Nov.27 @ 9:40 a.m., Friday, December 14 @ 12:30pm and Friday, February 22 @ 12:30 pm. We encourage parents to join us for these fun trips.  There will be limited seating on the bus, if parents are interested, otherwise, please meet us at the rink. 

We have asked students to try on equipment for sizing.  The school does have some equipment available, if required.  Students must wear helmets as per our School District's Policy.   If your child is interested in playing a fun game of hockey, we ask that students wear basic equipment (helmets with face protection, neck gear and gloves).  Thanks for your support.
