2.  Math - use JUMP BOOK to practise over the summer

Dear families, we used the JUMP MATH books to supplement our class program.  These books are excellent resources to keep your child practising grade level skills. 

SUPPLIES HOME
Students will be bringing school supplies home today, as we prepare for summer.  Please be prepared to send some supplies back to school, as needed.  (i.e. JUMP Math Books, Cultural Celebration Duotang, pencil case).  

SCHOOL UPDATES:
Please listen to the media for school closure updates.

Eureka!
Today students participated in a hands on learning in our Eureka! presentation on the topic of ChloroFULL Plants.  Students participated in hands-on activities as well as games demonstrating the process of plant growth.   Please ask your child which aspect of today's presentation they enjoyed most.  
 
If you think your child would enjoy attending a 2 week long summer session of Eureka! information has been sent home.  Bursary applications are available through the  classroom or office.

PAPER BAG NOVEL STUDY PROJECT - OPEN HOUSE
Wednesday morning, June 4, our class will be hosting an open house to show case the class's work on their individual novel studies.   Student work will be available for viewing from 9:00 - 12:00 noon.  This is an informal event, with family members being welcome to visit the classroom at their convenience.  We welcome extended family members to come and see our work, too!  We hope to see you there!
