Merry Christmas, and happy holidays!

Thank you to all families for making the start of the school year so successful, preparing your child for school each day.  I appreciate your on-going support and hard work.
 
Special thanks to families for your thoughtfulness today.  The class enjoyed the delicious gingerbread cupcakes provided by Joseph's family, the treat bags made by Tyanne and family, as well as the other numerous treats to make our last day fun.

Thank you to all families who were able to join us this afternoon for a skate.  It is always a pleasure to have families join us.

I wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable break with plenty of family time  and fun to finish 2014!  I look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year.

Naughty or nice list?  You choose!

 Home Work:

Skating at McArthur Island - TOMORROW - 1-2:00 pm; parents welcome! 

We will eat lunch early at 11:45 as we leave on the bus at 12:30.  I will ask students to clean out lockers and prepare for the end of the day BEFORE leaving for skating.  When you pick your child up at the end of the day, please check their locker again, just in case an item was placed back into their locker.  Thanks for your support!

- wear their snow pants and have gloves as well

-hockey = face masks, neck guards, hockey gloves, and sticks

Don't forget to try on your skates to see if they still fit. Please remember to pack your skates in a bag.  Students MUST wear a helmet (hockey, snowboarding/skiing, or bike helmet), as mandated by SD73.  Students are more comfortable if they wear their snow pants and have gloves as well.   If students wish to participate in a family friendly pick up game of hockey, they should bring their face masks, neck guards, hockey gloves, and sticks.  Please make sure to label all items. 

We do require 1 parent to transport hockey sticks, as they are not able to go on the bus for safety reasons.  Parent help is always appreciated in the locker rooms to assist in getting skates on and laced up.  If you can help out, please let me know.  Thank you!

Locker Clean Out

This week we will begin clearing our lockers out for the break.  I will endeavor to make sure that students bring everything home with them, so that they have access to these items over the break.  Indoor shoes may be left at school over the break.
