What are we learning in Math?
Students continue to work on numeracy skills involving place value (reading numbers in the 1's, 10's, and 100's place value) in a variety of ways. To support their understanding of this foundational skill, students were introduced to an on-line math program today called SPLASH MATH, that has students work on questions directly related to the BC curriculum. Students will bring home a Log in card with their User name and a Password today. If you are able, please take a minute to sit with your child as they work through several of the problems.
We are also working on money skills and making combinations of coins to $1.00. Mrs. Underwood, our school's math liason is leading student through activities involving probability (how likely it is for an action to take place: always, sometimes, never).
